Mustard Beans

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup light molasses
  • 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (16 ounce) can yellow wax beans, drained well

Recipe

  • 1 combine first six ingredients in a saucepan; heat to a boil.
  • 2 add beans and simmer five minutes; cool.
  • 3 drain and serve chilled as a salad or as an accompaniment to meats as a relish.
  • 4 any leftover liquid may be chilled and used to marinate other cooked vegetables.
