Crock Pot Corny Chili

Total Time: 6 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups pinto beans
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup frozen corn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups tomatoes, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients in crockpot with the exception of tomatoes.
  • 2 let cook on high 6-7 hours.
  • 3 after beans are thoroughly cooked, add the tomatoes and heat through.
  • 4 season individual servings as desired. i like to sprinkle a little salt on top so i don't get as much sodium but still get a little salty taste.
  • 5 serve with corn cakes.
