Alternative Pb&j

Ingredients

  • 1 -2 tablespoon unflavored whole chickpeas (otherwise known as garbanzo beans, from the can, drained)
  • 1 slice whole wheat bread
  • 1 -2 tablespoon choice fruit jelly (grape, blackberry suggested (avoid tarter fruits)

Recipe

  • 1 ingredient proportions are per slice of bread, or half of a sandwich (folded slice of bread).
  • 2 -spread choice fruit preserve as would for pb&j on bread slice.
  • 3 -add chickpeas (still whole), folding bread in a taco-like way to contain them.
  • 4 -consume.
