Low-fat Black Beans

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients into a medium saucepan.
  • 2 cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until beans are tender and begin to split.
  • 3 serve immediately.
