Laura's Beer Soup

Ingredients

- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 6 cups water
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 (12 ounce) cans beer
- 2 cups sliced carrots
- 2 cups sliced onions
- 2 cups sliced celery
- 2 cups sliced turnips
- 2 cups sliced potatoes
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- salt
- pepper
- 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen cut green beans
- 1 cup spaghetti, broken into 1 inch pieces
Recipe
- 1 brown the ground beef in a very large pot. drain well.
- 2 add liquid ingredients, bouillon cubes and seasonings.
- 3 add vegetables according to length of time they take to cook. (e.g. turnips, potatoes and carrots before onions).
- 4 cook on low for awhile until vegetables are soft.
- 5 add green beans, spaghetti and beer towards the end of cooking.
