Italian Sausage Pizza Soup

Total Time: 6 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (4 ounce) package pepperoni slices
  • 1 (16 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (16 ounce) can light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pizza sauce

Recipe

  • 1 place the sausage, onion and garlic into a skillet over medium heat.
  • 2 brown the sausage until not longer pink about 8 minutes.
  • 3 drain well in a colander and pat off excess grease with paper towel.
  • 4 place into the crock pot.
  • 5 add the pepperoni into the mixture.
  • 6 place both cans of kidney beans into the crock pot.
  • 7 add in the tomatoes and the green chilies.
  • 8 sprinkle in the chili powder, salt and pepper.
  • 9 pour the pizza sauce over the top and stir to make sure all the ingredients are combined together.
  • 10 cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
