Green Beans With Lemon Butter

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut in small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest (about 1 lemon)
  • fresh ground pepper

Recipe

  • 1 fill a medium saucepan 3/4 full of water and bring to a boil.
  • 2 add salt and beans.
  • 3 return to a boil and cook 4-5 minutes or they are crisp tender.
  • 4 remove from heat and drain.
  • 5 put back in pan and add butter and zest.
  • 6 season with pepper and more salt if you need it.
