Green Beans-canning-raw Pack

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lbs young tender green beans, pods
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups boiling water
Recipe
- 1 wash beans.
- 2 drain.
- 3 remove strings and trim ends.
- 4 cut into 2 inch pieces.
- 5 pack beans into a hot quart jar leaving 1 inch head space.
- 6 add salt.
- 7 ladle boiling water over beans-again leaving 1 inch head space.
- 8 wipe rims and adjust 2 piece caps.
- 9 process quarts for 25 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
- 10 **shouldyou wish to use pints use 1/2 t salt and process 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
