Green Beans-canning-hot Pack

Ingredients
- 2 1/2-3 lbs young tender green beans
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 -5 cups boiling water
Recipe
- 1 wash beans.
- 2 drain.
- 3 trim ends and remove strings.
- 4 cut into 2 inch pieces.
- 5 boil for 5 minutes.
- 6 pack into clean hot jars leaving 1 inch head space.
- 7 add salt.
- 8 ladle boiling water over beans-again leaving 1 inch head space.
- 9 remove bubbles.
- 10 wipe rims and adjust 2 piece caps.
- 11 process quarts 25 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
- 12 **if you wish to can in pints use 1/2 t salt and process 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
