Dad's Homemade Baked Beans

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 lb pea beans 
- 1 large onion 
- 6 cups water 
- 1/4 cup mustard 
- 3/4 cup ketchup 
- 3 tablespoons molasses 
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar 
- 1/4 lb salt lamb 
-  salt and pepper 
Recipe
- 1 put your beans in a baking dish to soak overnight with the water and the onion. 
- 2 the next day boil your beans in the soaking water until the crack when pushed between two spoons. 
- 3 preheat your oven to 350 degrees celsius. 
- 4 mix together the mustard, ketchup, molasses and brown sugar and add to the boiling water. you can add your salt and pepper here to. 
- 5 cut your salt lamb, or any other lamb product you would like to use and add this to the mixture as well. 
- 6 put in oven and check after an hour and a half for moisture levels. if you feel it needs more water add about 1/4 cup at a time. 
- 7 remove from oven after another hour and a half cooking time and check the constancy, it should be juicy but not watery.
