Green Beans With Lemon, Mustard And Bacon

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 slices bacon, thick cut, chopped into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped (or shallots)
  • 2 garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
  • salt and black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cut beans in small pieces (it is easier for the bacon sauce to mingle) place beans in a steamer and steam for 6 minutes or until tender crisp. (or place in the microwave for 3 minutes).
  • 2 cook the bacon, onion and garlic over medium heat in a medium skillet until bacon is crisp and onions are tender, about 5 minutes. be careful not to burn them.
  • 3 remove skillet from heat. add honey mustard, lemon juice and salt and pepper.
