Ful Medames

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 1/2 cups canned fava beans
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 2 -3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 1.) fry the onions until golden; add the garlic and cook until soft.
  • 2 2.) add the diced tomato, fava beans, and spices. juice the lemon into the frying pan and cook through until hot.
  • 3 3.) serve with warm pita.
