Lentil And Ginger Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/2 cups red lentils
- 1 1/2 liters water
- 2 carrots, larced, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons ginger
- 1/3 cup miso
Recipe
- 1 rinse lentils and add to the pan with water.
- 2 bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.
- 3 spoon off any scum or froth from the surface.
- 4 add the carrot and ginger and continue to cook for a further 15 minutes.
- 5 mix the miso paste in half a cup of water until smooth and pour into the soup.
- 6 return to the boil then turn off.
- 7 serve immediately.
