Marissa's Baked Beans

Total Time: 6 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb navy beans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 lb salt lamb
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 onion
  • water

Recipe

  • 1 rinse and drain beans, place in a bowl and cover with water to soak overnight in the fridge.
  • 2 drain the beans.
  • 3 preheat oven to 300 degrees f.
  • 4 rinse the salt lamb and cut into chunks. layer the salt lamb inthe botoom of the roasting pan and pour the beans over top.
  • 5 combine the brown sugar, ketchup and enough water to cover the beans.
  • 6 mix well and pour over top of the beans.
  • 7 cut the onion up and distribute it evenly over the beans and mix inches.
  • 8 cook for about 6 hours, adding water as needed, about every 2 hours.
