Maple Bean Bake

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 45 ounces beans, rinsed and drained (any combination of navy, great northern & cannellini)
- 14 ounces vegetarian baked beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 in a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender.
- 3 in 1 1/2 quart glass baking dish, combine onion mixture with remaining ingredients.
- 4 cover and bake for 1 hour or until bubbly.
