Espresso Chipotle Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 cups chicken stock
  • 2 roma tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup espresso beans
  • 3 chipotle chiles in adobo
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 add all the ingredients to a sauce pan on high heat and bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer until reduced by about half and then strain.
