Dilly Cayenne Pepper Green Beans

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs green beans, trimmed
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 4 heads dill weed
  • 1/4 cup canning salt (pickling)
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 pack beans, lengthwise, into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch head space.
  • 2 for each pint, add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne, 1 garlic clove, and 1 head dill.
  • 3 combine remaining ingredients and bring to boiling.
  • 4 pour boiling hot over beans, leaving 1/4-inch head space.
  • 5 adjust caps.
  • 6 process pints and quarts 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
