Baked Beans

Ingredients

- 1 lb dried navy beans or 1 lb dried great northern beans
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 lb salt lamb, diced
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 rinse beans and pick over.
- 2 bring beans and 8 cups of water to a boil.
- 3 reduce heat, simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours.
- 4 pour beans and liquid into a bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight.
- 5 drain beans, reserving 1 cup of liquid.
- 6 place beans and reserved liquid in crock pot.
- 7 stir in remaining ingredients.
- 8 cover and cook on low for 12 to 14 hours.
- 9 stir before serving.
