sausage-corn chili

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (9.6 ounce) package jimmy dean® original hearty lamb sausage crumbles
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed, drained
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2/3 cup picante sauce or salsa
  • optional toppings:
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • sour cream
  • chopped cilantro

    Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins Ready Time: 35 mins

  • cook sausage, onion and chili powder in large saucepan over medium heat 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender.
  • stir in water, beans, corn, tomato sauce and picante sauce. bring to a boil. reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • ladle into bowls. add toppings, if desired.
