Chili Con Carne Iii
Ingredients

- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
- 2 teaspoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with liquid, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (15.25 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste

Cook Time: 25 mins
Ready Time: 45 mins
- in a large skillet over medium heat, combine onion, garlic, and tomato paste. cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- stir in butter until melted. stir in flour, oregano, cumin, chili powder, tomatoes and beef. cook uncovered for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- stir in the beans and cook for another 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. salt and pepper to taste.
