Homemade Refried Beans

Ingredients

- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can pinto beans
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
- 1 in a small saucepan, bring beans to a boil.
- 2 drain excess liquied and discard.
- 3 put beans in a medium size bowl and beat with electric mixture until mashed.
- 4 stir in onion, butter and soy sauce.
- 5 return bean mixture to small saucepan over low heat and stir until heated through.
- 6 stir in cheddar cheese.
