Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped (medium)
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 15 ounces baked beans
- 15 ounces kidney beans, drained
- 15 ounces black-eyed peas or 15 ounces garbanzo beans, drained
- 15 ounces lima beans, drained
Recipe
- 1 sauce: in a small skillet over medium heat, heat oil and saute onion and garlic until tender. add remaining ingredients and stir well.
- 2 beans: in a 2-quart casserole, combine beans and sauce and bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes.
