M's Chili

Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (29 ounce) can kidney beans
- 1 (29 ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup canned green chili pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup beef broth
Recipe
- 1 brown the ground beef, drain off fat, or even better place browned meat in a strainer and shake out extra fat.
- 2 combine browned meat and the remaining ingredients in a large pot.
- 3 simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stir every once in a while.
