Lentil Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 cups red lentils
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric or 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 -2 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 lemon, juice of
  • 2 bouillon cubes (optional)
  • parsley (for garnish)

Recipe

  • 1 wash lentils. add to water and bring to boil. cover, cook for 1 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally.
