Donna's Chuckwagon Beans

Ingredients

- 1/2 lb bacon
- 3 lbs ground beef
- 3 cups onions, minced
- 3 cups green bell peppers, diced
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 2/3 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 3 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 (28 ounce) cans baked beans with molasses
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 fry bacon and set aside.
- 3 in the same pan, brown the ground beef.
- 4 add the onion and green pepper, cook and stir until the onion is tender.
- 5 dissolve bouillon cubes in the boiling water.
- 6 stir all ingredients except the bacon together in a large dutch oven.
- 7 cover and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- 8 crumble bacon on top and serve hot.
