Crock Pot Belly Burner Chili

Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans pinto beans or 2 (15 ounce) cans red beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet, brown ground beef, garlic and onion.
  • 2 drain, and put in crock pot.
  • 3 add beans, tomatoes, spices and cocoa powder.
  • 4 cook in crock pot on low for 4-5 hours.
  • 5 serve with cornbread if desired.
