No Fat Added "refried" Beans (oamc)

Total Time: 10 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pinto beans, sorted and rinsed
  • 1 lb pink beans, sorted and rinsed
  • kroger brand all-purpose seasoning
  • garli-garni seasoning (from garlicfestival.com)

Recipe

  • 1 soak and cook beans according to package directions. drain and reserve cooking liquid.
  • 2 with stick blender, blend beans until smooth, adding reserved water gradually until desired consistancy is reached.
  • 3 add seasonings to taste.
  • 4 divide into 5 zip-top baggies. lay flat in freezer until solid.
  • 5 store in freezer until ready to use.
  • 6 thaw; then reheat in microwave to use.
