- 1 can pinto beans
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
- 1 bring beans to a boil in a saucepan.
- 2 strain liquid and discard.
- 3 put beans in an electric mixer and mash.
- 4 stir in onion, butter and salt.
- 5 return to saucepan and over low heat stir until heated thoroughly.
- 6 stir in grated cheese.
